The Perks in Flinthook are passive boosters that can be equipped at the start of a run and provide special bonuses. Perks can be obtained either by purchasing them from shops or from perk packs earned on a level up. Perks are separated into six categories: Eye, Blasma Pistol, Health, Luck, Move, and Star. Each category contains perks that enhance a certain aspect of your gameplay.

Any combination of perks can be equipped as long as you have enough perk points (PP) in your perk bar. Perks use up different amounts of PP. Additional PP can be obtained from the Black Market. Some perks have duplicates with stacking effects. For example, two "Know-How" perks will give you an XP boost of 20%.

Eye Perks[ | ]

These perks focus on your critical shots, experience points (XP) gain, and Sub-Weapon effectiveness.

Locksmith Locksmith No door is locked to you! Removes the need for keys to open locked doors.
Bullet-Time- Bullet-Time Enemy shots are slowed down to a crawl! Hostile bullet (including Grimstaff skulls) speed reduced by 50%.

Bullet-Time stacks additively - two Bull-Time will make enemy bullets hold in place.

Three Bull-Time makes enemy bullets move backwards from target.

Bombshell Bomb Shell Get more bang for your bomb! Bombs do more damage. (Numbers Needed)
Bombs-Away Bombs Away Get EVEN MORE bang from your bomb! Bombs do WAY more damage. (2 times your current damage or adds 40 damage numbers needed)
Spawnspin Spawnspin You can now spawn more Spinning Skulls! Spawns (X) more spinning skulls when using the Spinning skull sub-weapon. (Numbers Needed)
Spinstorm Spinstorm You can now spawn EVEN MORE Spinning Skulls! Spawns 3 more spinning skulls when using the Spinning skull sub-weapon.
Frozen Frozen Frost Globe's freezing field now lasts twice as long! Increases freeze effect of Frost Globe sub-weapon from (X) seconds to (2X) seconds. (Numbers Needed)
Cold-Front Cold Front Frost Globe's freezing field lasts longer! Increases freeze effect of Frost Globe sub-weapon. (Numbers Needed)
Fighting-Bell Fighting Bell The Fighting Bell helmet's invincibility lasts longer! Increases the duration of the Fighting Bell Helmet sub-weapon by (X)%. (Numbers Needed)
Raging-Bell Raging Bell The Fighting Bell helmet's invincibility lasts twice as long! Increases the duration of the Fighting Bell Helmet sub-weapon by (X)%. (Numbers Needed)
Know-How Know-How A bit of experience gives you an XP boost of 10%! 10% XP boost when run is over.
Savoir-Faire Savoir-Faire You've seen some action, giving you an XP bonus of 25%! 25% XP boost when run is over.
Wisdom Wisdom A seasoned pirate, you get an XP bonus of 50% 50% XP boost when run is over.
Hard-won-Wisdom Hard-won Wisdom A harsh lesson! Grants you a XP bonus, but also lose HP as time goes on. Grants +50% bonus XP but lost (X) health per (X) amount of time passed. (numbers needed)
Combo-Luck Combo Luck Critical blast chances match the number of your combo hits. Critical chance goes up (%?) every (x) combo levels.
Double-Combo Double Combo No time to lose! Your combo increases twice as fast! Every hit counts as 2 points to combo level instead of 1.

Blasma Pistol Perks[ | ]

These perks focus on making you Blasma Pistol more effective.

Doubleblast Doubleblast Same pistol blasts, twice the size! Doubles radius of Blasma Shots.
Blunderblast BlunderBlast Fire a charged blast with slower speed but twice the damage by holding down (Fire button). Holding the (Fire Button) will charge up a shot. Once the shot is fully charged, releasing the (Fire Button) will fire the shot. The shot more about half (?) as fast, but does double damage.
Payback Payback Your Blasma pistol is briefly more powerful after getting hit! Your Blasma Pistol shots deal (X) more damage for (S) Seconds after getting hit. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Fiercerblaster Fierceblaster Your pistol blasts deal more damage! Your Blasma Pistol shots deal 5 more damage, fire rate reduced by 40%.
Rat-a-Tat Rat-a-Tat Gain more firepower following a strong combo chain! Player damage increases by 2 after a combo of 10.
Fading-Gunslinger Fading Gunslinger Your pistol gains more firepower as your heath gets lower! Damage is increased by (X) for every (H) points of health missing. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Death's-Door Death's Door Gain more firepower when your health gets lower. Damage is increased by (X) for every (H) points of health missing. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Fast-Blast Fast Blast Gives more speed to your trusty Blasma pistol! Your Blasma Pistol shots move (X)% faster. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Faster-Blaster Faster Blaster Gives even more speed to your trusty Blasma pistol! Your Blasma Pistol shots move (X)% faster. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Long-Shot Long Shot Adds a bit of range to your trusty Blasma pistol! Increases the range of your Blasma Pistol by 6%. (Needs more testing.)
Looong-Shot Looong Shot Adds even more range to your Blasma pistol. Increases the range of your Blasma Pistol by 12%. (Needs more testing.)
Bounceblast Bounceblast Your pistol blasts become bouncing balls of hurt! Your Blasma Pistol shots bounce off of obstacles. Also causes shots to arc when fired. When the bullet hits a wall its range is increased somewhat.
Midas'-Blast Midas' Blast Your Blasma pistol gains more power as you gain more gold! Damage is increased by 2 for every 500 gold coins you currently have. Caps out at +10 damage.
Boss-Blaster Boss Blaster Gain more firepower against Pirate Bosses! Your Blasma Pistol shots deal (X) damage to bosses. (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat increase or % based.)
Comboblaster Comboblaster Firepower gains speed as your combo hits gets higher! Firepower augments by (%?) per (x) combo levels.
Reckless Reckless More firepower... at a cost: you lose part of your health and your opponents get even tougher. Firepower now does 15 damage points instead of 10. Health is reduced by (%? seems to be logarithmic, 200 becomes 150, 150 becomes 125. Needs more testing). Enemies gain (x) more hit points. (needs clarification)
Ricochet Ricochet Your pistol blasts can pinball off any surface! Pistol blasts now bounce of any surface that can be walked on (except destructible objects). Bounces twice before bullet despawns regardless of range increases.
Small-Time Small Time Gain more firepower against smaller enemies! Do 15 damage instead of 10 to smaller enemies (Birds, Flyaxe's, Fish guppy torpedo's and floating space pirates) (needs clarification)
Way-of-the-Gun Way of the Gun More firepower... at a cost: you slowly lose HP as time goes on! Do 12 damage instead of 10, lose 1 of health per 30 sec time.
Hailshot Hailshot Blow away scallywags with a spread of small blasts! Pistol blasts now split into 3 shots instead of 1, each doing 5 damage instead of 10. Projectiles are smaller.

Range does not seem to be affected. Any damage boosts such as Rat-A-Tat or Midas' Blast apply to all 3 projectiles, tripling their effectiveness!

Hailshot adds two additional shots for each Hailshot perk beyond the first.

Health Perks[ | ]

These perks give you a boost to your survivability when raiding pirate ships.

Snack-Attack Snack Attack Get a delicious apple each time you board a ship! When boarding a ship, you get a free apple that heals 10 health; Can be increased by other perks.

Sub-Way Sub Way Heal just a bit when using a sub weapon! Every time a sub weapon is used, you are healed 2 HP.
Sawft Sawft Enemy crews get SOFT and have much less health! Non-boss enemy health reduced by (X)%. (Numbers Needed)
Boo-Boo-Begone Boo-Boo Begone Healing items get a bit more effective! Good news! Healing items are 10% more effective.
Bandit's-Bandages Bandit's Bandages Healing items get an extra kick! Nice! Healing items are (X)% more effective. (Numbers Needed)
Vial-O'-Vitamin Vial O' Vitamin Healing items just got a whole lot stronger! Whoa! Healing items are 50% more effective.
Resistance Resistance Protects against extreme conditions like acid and burning Reduces (?) damage from room floor hazards (Acid pools, Burning floors, Poison cloud, etc.) by (X). (Numbers Needed: Unknown if flat decrease, % based, or immunity)
Bon-Voyage Bon Voyage Gain more health after each beaten ship! +5 to max HP after clearing a ship.
Pirate's-Grit Pirate's Grit Become invincible for a few seconds after receiving damage! Increases the Invincibility time after getting hit by (S) seconds. (Numbers Needed)
Pirate's-Pep Pirate's Pep Arr! You're in high spirits by adding + 5 to your HP! +5 HP.
Pirate's-Zing Pirate's Zing You got some extra kick by adding +10 to your HP! +10 HP.
Pirate's-Vigor Pirate's Vigor You're in rude health by adding +25 to your HP! +25 HP.
Bulwark Bulwark You're already shielded when boarding a ship! Gain 1 shield whenever you board a ship, to a maximum of 3. (Will grant a shield even if you already have one)
Shockproof Shockproof Nothing can electro-shock you! Immunity to shocking debuff. (?) (When you can't shoot after being hit by the electro ball turrets: Does not prevent the damage from electro balls.)
Phoenix Phoenix Upon death, return with 20 health, once. Extra life. When lost, revives you in the same room (?) with 20 HP. If stacked, heals +20 more for each Phoenix perk gotten so far.
Boomproof Boomproof Ennemy explosive damage is reduced by half!. Protection against explosive, halve the damage taken.
Bloodlust Bloodlust Your health rises with each fallen foe but you're more vulnerable to enemy attacks! 1 HP heal per enemy slain. Take 5 more damage from enemy attacks (does not include hazards like spikes and shocker bullets, but does include contact damage from shockers and wall beetles)
Brawny Brawny Get tougher! Become even more resistant to enemy damage! Enemies now do (x) less damage than before. (needs numbers)
Combo-Bruiser Combo Bruiser A high Combo chain makes you more resistant to enemy damage! (x) combo level = (x) less damage taken. (needs numbers, appears to trigger from 20 combo onwards)

Luck Perks[ | ]

These perks influence your loot plundering capabilities and can effect the cost of items at Bazaars.

Midas'-Loot Midas' Loot Find greater amounts of gold! About 10% more gold from all sources.
Midas'-Challenge Midas' Challenge Find greater amounts of gold, but enemy ships are tougher! Not for the faint of heart! Find (x) more gold in chests and destructible objects. Enemy ships now contain harder enemies (green variant?) (needs clarification)
Midas'-reward Midas' Reward You find more gold in every treasure chest found after a battle! Find about 15% more gold in chests that appear as a result of clearing a battle. (Needs More Testing)
Pirate's-Valor Pirate's Valor Have a small chance to find an extra apple in chests. You may find space meat in chests instead of apples.
Pirate's-Wish Pirate's Wish Increases your chance of finding relics! Every pirate's dream! Increases droprate of relics from chests (numbers unknown).
Pirate's-Deal Pirate's Deal Get special deals in shops for you, the valiant pirate! 15% discount at all shops.

Corsair's-Sale Corsair's Sale Get special sales in every shop for you matey! 20% discount at all shops.

Subweaponeer Subweaponeer Increases your chances of finding subweapons. You are more likely to find subweapons in destructible objects

Move Perks[ | ]

These perks affect how well Flinthook can move around aboard pirate ships.

Featherfall Featherfall Fall slower, light as a feather Fall at same speed as low gravity ship modifier.
Flinghook Flinghook Ahoy! Your mighty Quickhook reaches farther!
Fasthook Fast Hook Your Quickhook gets a bit more speed to it!
Fleethook Fleet Hook Your Quickhook gets even quicker!
Freehook Free Hook Your Quickhook is free from your slow-motion Field! Your Quickhook moves at normal speed while using the Chronobuckle.
Fleet-Feet Fleet Feet Move swifter than ever before! Appears to be ~10% faster movement speed

Pogo-Strike Pogo Strike You can now attack and bounce off an enemy when pressing down during a fall! Landing on an enemy while holding (Down button) will damage them instead of the player.
Tick-Tock Tick Tock Extends your slow-motion gauge. Increases your slow motion gauge by 1 second.
Tick-Tock-2 Tick Tock Extends your slow-motion gauge. Increases your slow motion gauge by 1.5 seconds.
Chronocrawl Chronocrawl Magnifies the intensity of your slow-motion field.
